Building Future Scenarios for Bio-molecular Farming

In April, students will present to scientists and industry partners their future scenarios for Bio-molecular Farming in London 2039.

Within the Global Design Futures Unit, and building on the work of the Pharma Factory project, students have been working to on some key questions: What is the future of biotechnology for medicine? Do people understand or care how their pharmaceuticals are made? How is the public presented with new pharmaceutical developments (in plants, gene editing) through the press?

By using speculative design artefacts and scenarios students will interrogate possible futures of biotech for 2039!
