Covid Response Projects

We did three projects in Spring in response to the pandemic and its impact on our local areas, and to help students gain some skills in conducting projects fully online.

Camden Foodhub 

Looking at the Camden Council emergency food distribution system, with food from the Felix Project and others arriving daily to the Camden hub and being redistributed to food banks and communities within the borough. The designed system is in place and has been working since May.

2 weeks+; 23 MA Service Design Students (in 6 time zones); Marida Maiorino (PhD Student); Dr. Silvia Grimaldi (MA Service Design); Prof Adam Thorpe (Public Collaboration Lab); Tom Hoare (Service Designer at Engine); Dr Barton Friedland (Digital Transformation, UAL).

5 partners: Camden Council’s: Community Partners; Social Care Projects; Emergency Management; Business Transformation; Strategy Departments.

Camden Volunteer Accreditation 

To allow volunteers to be trained more flexibly and be able to easily move from one volunteer role to another, or be quickly redeployed in emergency situations.
