Visual Conversations

Serena Pollastri, PhD researcher at Lancaster University, visited us at MA Service Experience Design and Innovation at UAL for a couple of days. Serena shared her Visual Conversations on Urban Futures methodology with us, and we joined her to facilitate Designing Tamara with 170 students from the BA in Interior and Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Art, UAL.

Designing Tamara transported participants to the year 2100. Participants were invited to join the “Centre for Urbanism Prototyping”, a fictional participatory design agency of which we facilitators were employees, and that prototypes new ways of urban living in the “Alternate Reality Mesh”, before exporting the best ideas to Planet Earth.
